Today is Jessie's first birthday. We're struggling to believe it. Whilst it certainly feels like a while, it doesn't seem like a whole year. When you look back through this blog and see the way she's grown already, I guess it seems clearer to see.

First thing, we opened some presents:

Today's favourite is definitely Don and Chris's mobile phone rattle thing:

which provokes good quality squeals.

I took the day off work today, and we decided to have a day trip to Blenheim Palace. None of us had been before, and we had a 2 for 1 offer, which seemed like a good excuse. Glorious grounds, and not a bad pile inside.

Back home, Jessie's walking is getting much better (with assistance). It can't be long now till she makes it on her own:

Jess starts at nursery next week when Ros goes back to work part-time. She's having a couple of days induction this week. She'll be away from Ros tomorrow; we expect she'll be absolutely fine about it. Jess too.
