Going up

Well, we were right, there was another tooth on the way. We're clearly getting better at this lark :D

We went up to Atherstone for a relaxing lunch on Good Friday with Dave and Angie. We followed up with a walk in the sunshine along the towpath on the Coventry Canal. The sun was turning warm, and without any sun protection, we decided not to stay out too long. For the past two years now, I can't tolerate even springtime sun in the UK for more than an hour or so without burning in a nasty, trip-to-A-&-E sort of way, which is rather distressing for someone who used to tolerate sun with relative impunity. The reaction fits with it being Polymorphic light eruption (at least, that's my diagnosis as a highly-qualified doctor). Being photosensitive makes summer rather hard work, which is frustrating when you actually like the time of year...

We went to the Motts for the weekend, which was just the incentive that Jess needed to start climbing stairs. She got to the top on her second attempt. We thought this was witty on her part as she's shown no interest whatsoever in the stairs here at home until now. Funnily enough, when we got home this afternoon, she was keen to start scampering up. So, the second stairgate goes on, this time at the bottom of the stairs...
