I just wanted to post an apology for the lack of bloggage this past few weeks. It's been a world of hardware around here with computers not working properly. I think that as of today, I've got things stable and mostly satisfactory. Not holding my breath though. In the unlikely event that you, dear reader, care, the computer that runs this blog (and our mail server and PVR) has been upgraded with a new 400GB hard drive and video card, and now runs Mandriva 2007 linux. Woo.

Our other excuse for not writing is that we've all had variations on a theme of heavy cold. Jess got it first, then Ros and then me. That started two weeks ago, and we're all still doing our bit for the environment (making it phlegmier).

In other news:

• Ros managed to clear her nasal passages a bit by singing Vivaldi's Gloria with Warwick Phoenix Singers and the Orchestra of the Swan on Friday.
• Jess is getting more vocal; 'MaaMaaMaaMaaMaa' and 'NyumNyumNyumNyum' are two of her favourite phrases at the moment.
• She uses them a lot when watching Strictly Come Dancing, which is her favourite programme on TV (she liked Carol). Our favourite programme too, at the moment.
• She's getting nifty at grabbing tissues and newspaper from a surprisingly large distance...
• ...and eating them.
• And roll around the floor...
• ...until she can reach the AV receiver and change channels for us.
• She had her first bus journey last week, into town.
• She likes practising standing up (supported). It's a little bit scary for us really, to see in the past couple of weeks that she's turning from a baby into a little girl.
