Another busy week here. Ros finished work on Tuesday, which made for an emotional day. It's been around nine years continous service for her at OCR, so it's a bit of a change to be off for (potentially) a year's maternity leave. We received some lovely presents from the folks there, including a vibrating pooh bouncer! [It'll be interesting to see what google ads make of that sentence], and some cute sleepsuits.

Since then, the temperature has really dropped; I don't think it's been much above 3°C since Tuesday, and was down to -6°C last night. Not exactly what you'd expect for March. Last night, Ros went out into the garden to get a sprig of thyme to season the dinner and slipped over on the deck by the back door. She hadn't actually been out all day, and didn't realise quite how treacherous the boards get out there when they get icy. Fortunately, no lasting damage apart from a couple of bruises. It was a bit of a scare though. I'm thinking of buying a big roll of bubble wrap to put round her for the next six weeks...
